"RED" bust by Bruno Lavallée - Unboxing

Come primo busto acquistato e come primo unboxing su questo blog, propongo questa scultura fantastica!

Un paio di mesi fa, vidi che un "amico-di-miniature" su Facebook mise un "mi piace" ad una scultura appena finita di Bruno Lavallée che non conoscevo.
Era il busto di "RED", ispirato ad un personaggio dei fumetti che amo particolarmente, Hellboy di Mignola, nell'interpretazione cinematografica di Ron Perlman. Bellissimo!
Metto anche io il "mi piace", chiedo l'amicizia a Bruno, bravissimo artista, gentilissimo e disponibile, e gli chiedo informazioni su come averne una copia. Mi rispose che ci sarebbe voluto un mese. Ne sono passati poi due e l'ho ricevuto.

This is my first bust and first unboxing on this blog, It's a fantastic sculpture!

A couple of months ago, on Facebook I saw a "like" put by a "miniature-friend" on a just finished piece of  Bruno Lavallée that I did not know yet.
It was "RED" bust, inspired by a comic character that I love, Hellboy by Mignola, in a movie interpretation by Ron Perlman. Beautiful!
I quickly put "like", asked friendship to Bruno, a great artist, friendly and helpful, and message him to have a copy of this bust. He answerd me that it will be cast in a month. After two months I received it.

Il busto è davvero grande, non me lo aspettavo così. E' un pezzo unico (a parte il sigaro) alto più di 10 cm (4"). Ho scelto di prenderlo senza plinto al costo di 20 euro (Bruno lo fornisce anche con plinto a 24euro), prezzo interessantissimo devo dire. 14 sono le spese di spedizione dalla Francia in Italia (un pò troppo costose secondo me).

The bust is huge, I did not expected these measures. It's a unique piece (also a cigar) with height of more that 10cm (4"). I chose the version without plinth with a price of 20 euro (Bruno can send a "plinth" version for 24euro). Very interesting price I think. 14euro of shipping fees (a little bit expensive in my opinion) from France to Italy.

La qualità dei dettagli e della texture (specialmente della pelle) è elevatissima, come si può vedere nelle foto. La pelle è ruvida al tatto, molto realistica, così come le rughe espressive del volto.
Realizzate molto bene anche le incisioni sulle corna "smerigliate" (se ricordate il film).
Anche la parte delicata dell'attaccatura dei capelli alla testa rasata è realizzata molto bene, pulita e dettagliata, così come il nodo posteriore e relativa fascetta. Niente da eccepire!

Details quality and texture (look at the skin!) is high, as you can see on photos. Skin is rugged to touch, very realistic, as the wrinkles.
A very good realization for scratches and cuts on horns "grinded" (if you remember in movie).
Also rear part, the attachment of hair and bold skin,it's finely crafted, clean and detailed, the same way as hair knot on back and the strip that hang it. Nothing to complaint.

Praticamente ogni pezzo in resina ha qualche difetto dovuto alle bolle d'aria in fase di colata. Purtroppo anche questo pezzo ne presenta alcuni. Nella foto seguente si possono notare.
Fortunatamente sono pochi, piccoli e locati in zone nascoste.
Una bolla più grande si trova sotto la barba sul lato sinistro e un paio di mini bollicine (1 o 2 mm) si trovano sotto il nodo dei capelli posteriore. Questi sono quasi invisibili. Niente di preoccupante che non si possa risolvere con un puntino di materia verde.

Almost every resin cast has some problem, glitches or bubbles when poured in stamp.
Also this piece has some little hole. In next photo you can see them.
Luckily they are few, little and in hidden zones.
The bigger hole is on left side of face, under the beard. Two little ones (1 o 2 mm) are on back of hair knot. Almost invisible. Nothing to worry about. They can be fixed easily with a drop of green stuff.

Sarà un'ottima occasione per utilizzare questo set, il Blood and Fire, Red Paint Set, di Scale 75 che ho comprato da poco tempo.
